How to Become a Client

Financial planning is not a product; it is a process. The advisors at Mason & Associates, LLC have spent a career mastering the Federal employee benefits package. Our knowledge of the Federal, state, and military benefits makes us the ideal choice for a family with one or more workers with one of these benefit packages. Approximately 50 percent of our clients are Federal, state, or military. The other 50 percent are private sector employees and business owners. The following are a few private sector companies that we are exceptionally familiar with:

Our clients’ first introduction is primarily through our radio advertising, which includes our commercials and “Ask the Expert” radio show, and through referrals. Investors can begin the discovery process in the following ways:

  1. Tune in to our “Ask the Expert” radio show on WNIS AM 790 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of every month. The show focuses on financial planning strategies for Federal, state, and military members, as well as private sector and those making Social Security decisions. Michael Mason, the voice of Mason & Associates, delivers a unique message each show, designed to be timely and pertinent. Michael's favorite part of the show is the live call-in questions. We not only help the caller, we help other folks who may have the same question but are not comfortable calling the station. What makes the show special is that Michael will answer the question you have, as well as the one you may not know to ask. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our firm, your benefits, and how you can become part of the Mason & Associates family.

  2. Schedule a complimentary consultation with one or more of our advisors at our office in Newport News. During this first appointment we will sit down with you and your spouse to discuss your specific financial situation and determine if a relationship with our firm makes sense. Our goal is to educate and help prospective clients make informed decisions about their retirement and other financial planning concerns.
